Trying to cure my TikTok brain with detective novels

Hey guys. I'm a millennial who is actively trying to rescue my fried attention span from endless doomscrolling. I recently made a rule: no phone after 10 PM, only physical books. I just finished this absolutely insane psychological thriller with a massive plot twist at the end, and my brain is literally melting. The problem is, none of my friends read—they are all busy scrolling short videos or watching Netflix till 2 AM. I desperately want to find a chill space to talk about book theories, or just get some solid detective novel recommendations from people who actually read. Any clean platforms for this?

Mad respect for fighting the brain rot, honestly. If you want a distraction-free space to talk about books without sharing your personal data or SIM details, try using this private messaging app without phone number What’s cool about it is that there’s zero "performance game" no profiles, no pictures, and no followers. You just put on a mask, post a quick thought about the book you’re reading, and it connects you 1-on-1 with someone on that exact wavelength. Plus, chats wipe out in 24 hours, so it's a perfect alternative to a typical heavy social app.
